Lee-Ellen helped us choose paint colours for our new home and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. She was available to come to our home on short notice and took into account the layout of the house, lighting, colour of furniture/floors/cabinets, etc. I appreciated her input about which colours would complement or clash with one another. We painted our entire main floor including bedrooms, common areas, ceilings, doors, baseboard/trim, fire place mantle, kitchen back-splash. My husband and I are very pleased with the results and wouldn’t change a thing.

My white thermofoil kitchen cabinets had yellowed from the sun coming through the windows in my dining room. I had considered new cabinet doors, but it was very expensive. I called Lee-Ellen after seeing her ad in East St. Paul magazine, Living.

She came over for a consult and suggested painting my kitchen instead. She selected a complementary color, suggested new pendant lights to hang over my island, tile for my backsplash and bathroom tile for around my bathtub. All work was completed in 5 days, with little disruption (considering much of the work was done in the kitchen). Her contractor, Warren, was very professional, conscientious and efficient.

I was very pleased with Lee-Ellen’s suggestions and Warren‘s craftsmanship and would recommend their professionalism to anyone wanting decorating design advice or work.

Excellent taste

Our home was in need of some fresh ideas to update it from the 2005 build with the design taste of that time.

We did not want to do a complete renovation so the dilemma was how to incorporate the existing features we love about our house with an update that reflected current styles. We consulted with Lee-Ellen and she worked her magic by developing a plan that tied the existing features (tile, baseboards, cabinets, fireplace and hardwood floors) with incredible new dimensions. Her suggestions for a new countertop, hardwood refinishing, paint colour, carpeting draperies and furniture suited the home and suited us to a tee. And when Lee-Ellen presented her rendering of her idea for our great room we couldn't believe that could be done....well it could - and it has been done. It is amazing.

An incredible pivot occurred when my husband mentioned that he wanted to change the plain stub walls in our front entrance. She had an idea, consulted with her contractor Warren and a plan was developed to open up the walls, match the style of the existing wall finish, insert balusters and a stunning new feature was created.

Her contractors are true professionals. Thank you Warren, Jenn and Chris. They were excellent to work with and made our renovation project an adventure instead of a dreaded chore.

Lee-Ellen helped transitioning my Mother in law from a larger home to a smaller apartment suite. She helped her select furniture that would fit nicely in her new space. She designed a floor plan and coordinated the purchase of new furniture and area rugs. She also hung pictured from my Mother in laws home at her new suite and place them beautifully in each room. Lee-Ellen was a pleasure to work with she was very professional and easy to collaborate with. I would highly recommend her for any project you may have.

I found Ellen to be very prompt, Easy to talk to friendly and above all very knowledgable in design. She Made the process much easier. My husband and I have been going over and over in our heads and trying to pick flooring, colour, design, and type for weeks. I found Ellen on line and she responded very quickly to my email. She came out to our house to look at our project and brought samples with her and it didn’t take long. We had our flooring chosen. She then met with us at our local flooring store, and they carried exactly what she had shown us and within a few weeks we saw the finished product on our floor and we could move forward with the rest of our project.
